Looking towards Tampa, this photo shows construction in the Ulmerton Road area in March 2004. Towards the middle of the photo, beams are set over what will be the new northbound lanes. Above that, work continues on the new bridge carrying traffic from Ulmerton Road to northbound I-275, as well as the bridge over Big Island Gap (top of photo). To the far left, southbound traffic is in its original configuration, while northbound traffic is on what will be the new southbound lanes down the center of the photo.
