I-4 and Columbus Drive reconstruction (July 2004)

Looking southeast where I-4 crosses Columbus Drive. Eastbound I-4 is at the left in the photo. Next to the exit ramp, construction on new eastbound I-4 is underway. The new road being constructed running left to right will be the realigned Columbus Drive. It will intersect 50th Street where 14th Avenue used to, just north of the former Oak Park Elementary School. Across 50th Street is the Columbus Plaza shopping center.
