Westbound I-4 construction at 50th Street (October 2006)

In this photo (looking east), eastbound I-4 is completed and opened to traffic. Notice the difference in the old and new roadways: The new roadway has three travel lanes and wide, paved shoulders. The old roadway has just two lanes and very narrow paved shoulders. Towards the left, the new westbound bridge over 50th Street is about ready for concrete deck placement.
